This boutique investment manager offers both Discretionary Investment Management and Advisory services for HNW and UHNW clients.
They’ve grown steadily whilst operating as an Appointed Representative but they’re now applying for their own license. And they’re looking for their first Head of Compliance & MLRO (SMF16 & SMF17) as a result.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the business operates compliantly, taking on responsibility for both Regulatory and Financial Crime Compliance for the firm.
You’ll provide ongoing Compliance advice and guidance to the senior leadership team and undertake horizon scanning to keep them abreast of any changing regulatory requirements, ensuring the business responds accordingly.
You’ll also review all new account applications and perform ongoing periodic reviews of the firm’s client book.
You’ll be an experienced senior Compliance specialist familiar with operating at this level within the Investment Management arena. Previous experience as an SMF16/SMF17 would be advantageous.
You’ll have a proven track record of senior stakeholder engagement as well as team management and development. Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills are essential.
You must also be happy working in a hands-on manner – you’ll never be far from the coalface.
