Are you looking for a clear path to your first MLRO position?
Here’s your chance.
It is expected that this will develop into an MLRO position within 6-12 months. And so, if you’ve hit a glass ceiling in your current role, this role offers you the chance to quickly smash right through it.
You’ll be working for an established, award-winning Residential Mortgages, BTL and Bridging Finance provider. Having already taken the market by storm and established themselves as the go-to lender in their field, the firm is now in the latter stages of seeking authorisation to launch new products and enter new markets.
You’ll get to run Financial Crime Compliance across all existing and new markets! And once proven, that MLRO title will be yours.
You’ll develop and implement the Financial Crime and Compliance strategy in conjunction with the Compliance Director, working to evolve the firm’s approach to Financial Crime Risk Management as the business scales.
You’ll assess and benchmark the effectiveness of the AML and Fraud controls against regulations, legislation and industry best practices whilst also monitoring regulatory changes and updating company policies accordingly.
You’ll also be responsible for building a CDD approach into the Operations team, conduct ongoing risk assessments to identify potential Financial Crime threats and ensure effective Financial Crime Risk monitoring and reporting.
You’ll have strong experience in a senior Financial Crime role within the long-term lending arena, such as mortgages, BTL, bridging finance, asset finance, asset-based lending etc. You’ll have broad AML / CTF experience including Source of Funds, Source of Wealth, Sanctions, PEPs, SARs reporting, etc. and have an excellent working knowledge of relevant regulations. You’ll also ideally have managed a small team previously and you must be happy operating in a very hands-on capacity.
